At least 13 princely states joined Pakistan in 1947. These included the states of Bahawalpur, Khairpur, Swat, Dir, Chitral, and several others within the regions that would become Pakistan's provinces. Some states, like Kalat, acceded to Pakistan after 1947, and a few, such as Hunza and Nagar, acceded in November 1947 but their status was pending determination.

Khairpur: Joined Pakistan in 1947.
Swat: Joined Pakistan in 1947.
Dir: Joined Pakistan in 1947.
Chitral: Joined Pakistan in 1947.

Las Bela: Joined Pakistan in 1947.
Makran: Joined Pakistan in 1947.
Kharan: Joined Pakistan in 1947.
Kalat: Acceded to Pakistan in 1947, with full accession in 1948.
Hunza: Acceded in November 1947.
Nagar: Acceded in November 1947.
