The first constitution of Pakistan was enforced on 23rd March 1956. This date is significant as it marked Pakistan's transition from a dominion to an Islamic Republic, adopting its first formal constitution after nearly nine years of independence. The 1956 Constitution established a parliamentary form of government with a president as head of state and a prime minister as head of government, and it declared Pakistan an Islamic Republic. However, this constitution was short-lived, abrogated by martial law in 1958.

• Option A, 14th August 1947, is incorrect. This date marks Pakistan's independence from British rule, when it became a dominion within the British Commonwealth, but it did not have its own fully enacted constitution at that point.
• Option C, 14th August 1973, is incorrect. This date refers to the enforcement of Pakistan's current constitution, the 1973 Constitution, which replaced earlier constitutional frameworks and remains in effect today.
• Option D, 27th October 1958, is incorrect. This date is associated with the imposition of martial law by General Ayub Khan, which led to the abrogation of the 1956 Constitution and the beginning of a period of military rule in Pakistan. It was a date of constitutional crisis, not enforcement.

The first Governor-General of Pakistan was Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. As the founder of Pakistan and a pivotal figure in the creation of the nation, he assumed the office of Governor-General immediately after Pakistan gained independence on August 14, 1947. He served in this capacity until his demise in September 1948, guiding the nascent state during its crucial initial months and laying the foundations for its administrative and political structure.

• Option A, Liaquat Ali Khan, is incorrect. Liaquat Ali Khan served as Pakistan's first Prime Minister, not Governor-General. He played a crucial role in establishing the government alongside Jinnah.

The first session of the first Constituent Assembly of Pakistan was held on 10th August 1947. This significant session took place just days before Pakistan officially gained independence, marking the formal beginning of the legislative and constitution-making process for the new nation. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah addressed the assembly on August 11, 1947, delivering his famous speech emphasizing equality, religious freedom, and rule of law, setting the guiding principles for the future state.

• Option C, 15th August 1947, is incorrect. This date refers to the day after Pakistan's independence, and while early sessions might have continued around this time, the very first session was held earlier.
• Option D, 11th September 1947, is incorrect. This date is the first death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (in 1948), or simply a date well after the initial formation and first session of the Constituent Assembly. The foundational session occurred much earlier to prepare for the new state.

Gwadar is a part of the province of Balochistan. Located on the southwestern coast of Balochistan, Gwadar is a strategically important port city that has gained significant international attention due to its role in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Its deep-sea port offers a crucial gateway for trade and economic development, connecting landlocked regions to global maritime routes. The development of Gwadar is central to Balochistan's economic future and Pakistan's geopolitical ambitions.

Its development is a key economic project for both Pakistan and China, aiming to boost the economic landscape of Balochistan and the wider region.

• Option A, Sindh, is incorrect. Sindh is a neighboring province to the east of Balochistan, known for its extensive coastline and the major port city of Karachi. However, Gwadar falls distinctly within Balochistan's administrative boundaries.
• Option B, Punjab, is incorrect. Punjab is a large, landlocked province located in the northeast of Pakistan, recognized for its vast agricultural lands and cultural heritage. It does not share a border with the Arabian Sea, making it geographically distant from Gwadar.
• Option C, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is incorrect. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) is a northern province, characterized by its mountainous terrain and proximity to Afghanistan. It is entirely landlocked and therefore does not include any coastal cities like Gwadar.

Pakistan signed the Baghdad Pact, which was later renamed the Central Treaty Organization (CENTO), on 23 September 1955. This was a significant step in Pakistan's foreign policy during the Cold War era, aligning itself with Western powers (United States, United Kingdom) and regional allies (Iraq, Turkey, Iran) against the perceived threat of Soviet expansion. The pact aimed to provide mutual security and defense cooperation among its member states in the Middle East region.

• Option A, 14th August 1947, is incorrect. This date marks Pakistan's independence and predates the formation of the Baghdad Pact by several years.
• Option C, 5th March 1959, is incorrect. While related to CENTO, this date is when the United States signed bilateral defense agreements with Pakistan, Iran, and Turkey, reinforcing the pact after Iraq's withdrawal and the renaming to CENTO. It is not the date Pakistan originally signed the pact.
• Option D, 1st January 1960, is incorrect. This date does not correspond to Pakistan's signing of the Baghdad Pact or any major related event. The pact was already well-established by this time, and renamed CENTO.

• Option D, Peacock, is incorrect. The peacock is the national bird of India, Pakistan's eastern neighbor. While peacocks are found in some parts of Pakistan, they do not hold the status of the national bird.

The correct answer is Orient Airways. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has a rich history rooted in the establishment of Orient Airways. Orient Airways was founded in 1946 in Calcutta, British India, by Mirza Ahmad Ispahani. After the Partition of India in 1947, the airline relocated its base to Karachi, Pakistan, and became the first and only airline of the newly formed nation. It continued to operate international flights and lay the groundwork for Pakistan's national carrier. In 1955, the government of Pakistan decided to nationalize and reorganize Orient Airways, officially renaming it Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Thus, Orient Airways was the direct predecessor and the old name of PIA.

• Option A, Pakistan Airways, is incorrect because while PIA is Pakistan's national airline, "Pakistan Airways" was not its historical name.
• Option C, Crescent Air, is incorrect. Crescent Air has no historical connection as the former name of PIA.
• Option D, Indus Air, is also incorrect. Indus Air was a private airline that operated in Pakistan much later, and it was not the predecessor of PIA.
