The Official Secrets Act, 1923 is a law in Pakistan that deals with safeguarding classified information and maintaining national security. It was originally enacted by the British Raj in 1923 and remains in force in present-day Pakistan. Cypher case was registered against Imran khan and ex-foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi under Sections— Section 5 and 9 – of the Official Secrets Act, 1923.
